Water Main Directional Bore & HDPE Installation – Redstone Federal Credit Union, Huntsville, AL
This project involved directional boring up to 400 linear feet with the pullback of one 4" HDPE line for water main replacement at Redstone Federal Credit Union on Wynn Drive. All materials and labor were included in the scope of work.
Key elements of the project included:
- Two mud pits were excavated and restored with sod upon completion.
- All utilities that could not be verified were potholed prior to boring.
Bore was completed from Wynn Drive to the water vault located on the raised walkway between the buildings.
Concrete cutting for access and restoration was performed by a coordinating contractor.
Transition materials from HDPE, including fusion and ductile couplings, were coordinated with the concrete contractor.
